Swebo taps Maryland for new U.S. headquarters
Swebo Bioenergy, a Swedish bioenergy firm said it is planning to open a new Annapolis, Maryland, office, as its base of U.S. operations, after the state lobbied it to bring its business there. Swebo Bioenergy, which produces and sells bioenergy systems that include everything from pellets to chips, wood and solar energy, said yesterday that manufacturing operations would most likely follow. The company said it plans to initially hire a handful of employees, followed by another 20 upon starting U.S. manufacturing.
