IRS has raised the rate for mileage reimbursements from $.505 per mile to $.585 per mile effective June 24, 2008
Manpower Releases Relocation Survey
A recent Manpower study presents an interesting challenge for today's employment market. Manpower interviewed nearly 28,000 employers and 31,000 employees worldwide. The results of the interviews presented a picture in which 37 percent of the employees said they were willing to relocate anywhere in the world for a better career, but 31 percent of the employers were worried about the talent they need migrating abroad away from their markets. The Chairman of Manpower stated that about 3 percent of the world's population are living and working away from their home country representing the highest percentage in history. Employee's under age 30 were more receptive to moving then their older peers. Men were willing to undertake longer assignment durations then women. The survey also found that the most popular destinations were the US, UK and Spain.
